Doordarshan is preparing plans to
launch a channel exclusively for
children, Union minister of state
for information and broadcasting
Col. (retd) Rajyavardhan Singh
Rathore said.
We are concerned about the
future and welfare of our
children. There is no national
channel for kids as of now and
Doordarshan will launch such a
channel,” Rathore said.
DD Kids will be Hindi-language
24/7 Cartoon television channel,
owned by the government of
India. The channel is expected to
be launched on Children’s Day
(14th November, 2015).
