The MPs of England are revealing a new coronavirus variant that is spreading quite fast in parts of the country. The speed of contamination this time is more than before. According to Matt Hancock’s report, Health Secretary, at least 60 people are suffering from COVID symptoms caused by the new variant.

Hancock also reveals that the World Health Organization is already aware of the development. Moreover, scientists all over the UK are looking after the matter. They want to study the new coronavirus variant and its symptoms very closely before concluding. Hancock believes that anything can happen now. For example, the symptoms may be worse, and the vaccines may prove to be not enough in this case.

In the House of Commons, Matt Hancock addressed everyone in his speech to talk about the situation. He specifically points out the exponential and sharp rise in the number of COVID infections all across Kent, London. It is the same scenario in several parts of Hertfordshire and Essex too. Moreover, in Southern England, cases due to the new variant are a lot more.

Quick actions mandatory for new coronavirus variant

Hancock says that despite no major clarity regarding the new virus’s effects, decisive and quick actions are mandatory for everyone’s safety. While the vaccination process is in full swing, the authorities must develop more unique techniques to eliminate this piling problem.

According to Professor Chris Witty, swab tests seems like a good way of finding out more about the new virus variant. England’s Chief Medical Officer believes that the variant’s predominance is the maximum found in the Kent region as per recent statistics.

The mutations and changes all involve the virus’s spike protein. The same is the element that works during cell infection and is the target of COVID vaccines too. However, there is still no clarity regarding the latest COVID vaccine to reduce the harmful behavior of the virus.

On the other hand, Professor Alan McNally suggests that nobody should get hysterical about the news in an interview. The Birmingham University expert believes that a new coronavirus variant does not mean it will be more transmissible, dangerous, or infectious. However, McNally says that ignorance is never an option, and people must observe the difference in symptoms.

Massive research regarding the problem is ongoing.

Professor Alan McNally also reveals that massive research will find out more about the recent situation’s emergence. However, it is our responsibility to keep calm and have a clear mind to understand the problem. It may only be a normal viral evolution and not more dangerous than COVID 19. In that case, it is very normal that new variants of the virus will come and go constantly.

Wellcome Director Dr. Jeremy Farrar believes that the problem is pretty serious, and immediate implementation of safety measures is mandatory. The simplest rule of understanding any new strain is to enquire about the changes in symptoms. Now, this is highly important because virus mutation is constant. So, questioning is important because otherwise, there is only fear and no definite answer.

According to Matt Hancock, the new virus strain may connect with the spreading pattern in South-Eastern England. Again, the emergence of the new strain may have no connection with COVID 19.
